(And FWIW the word "catalogue" in itself carries baggage: on this site it has sufficient history of being used as a justification for posting crap).

However, your last sentence is too strong for me. I don't think that any original idea is worth keeping. If there was a submission that randomly picked a letters (or tried to pick the wrong letters), I don't think that it would be worth keeping, even though it would be original.
