I guess the title is pretty self-explanatory:

The link http://tio.run/#python3 opens TIO with the language set to Python 3 but the link https://tio.run/##K6gsycjPM/7/v6AoM69EQykjNScnX6E8vygnRUnz////AA links to the Python 3 page with some code I already wrote.

What exact algorithm is used to encode everything in the URL? I'm assuming some string compression? I am asking for the specs because I am aware @Dennis is the creator of TIO and @Dennis seems like a big user around here, so maybe someone knows.

Also, I am very curious!
